About Us

MUM, dad, soon-to-be parent or experienced family looking for new friends? Then welcome to Channel Mum – your very own parenting village. We’re the UK’s fastest-growing parenting community and website and most of our information is on video – meaning you can find what you need quicker than anywhere else. Whether you want to chat directly to other mums and dads, watch the latest videos from our top vlogging familes, or just drop in for a natter, we’re here for you 24/7.

We know it takes a village to raise a child, so whatever you’re facing, know that you are not alone. We’re here to help and hold your hand every step of the way. From trying to conceive to pregnancy, birth to babies, toddlers and tantrums, school, tweens and teens – we’ve got it covered. And we know it takes that same village to raise up a Mama or a Dad – so WHOEVER you are, WHEREVER you are and WHATEVER you need, there’s a place for you here with us at Channel Mum. Perhaps you’d like relationship support or are facing PND or anxiety at the moment? Maybe you’re seeking advice on fostering, adoption, gay parenting or surrogacy? You may need recommendations on baby best buys – or you may just need some new friends! Whatever help you need, we’re on it and here to help!

So what makes us different to every other parenting site out there?

  • We love, we don’t judge.
  • We bring you the expert’s textbook view – but also the truth from real families just like you. The textbook vs the truth if you like. We tell it how it REALLY is.
  • We support and we share – and we never do cliques. Ever.
  • We’re always honest. And we’ve always got your back.
  • With Channel Mum, you are not alone #YANA. You’ll hear that a lot here.

The Channel Mum family is about love, trust, friendship and support:

So welcome – we can’t wait to meet you. With love from everyone at Channel Mum x

a word from the Channel Mum founder Siobhan Freegard

Never has the phrase ‘seeing is believing’ meant more. My kids don’t Google questions anymore, they search videos to show them.
And for a while that’s how I thought it would be. Just YouTube for kids: Minecraft, make-up and funny cat videos. But the video kids are growing up fast and are now having their own babies.

Today, new parents have just as many questions as I did when I was a new mum: How do I get my baby to sleep when they think that day is night and night is day? Can I give Paracetamol AND Ibuprofen for a fever? Why is this so scary? Does anyone else feel overwhelmed? Am I really good enough to be in charge of this tiny delicate, precious little baby? Is it normal for my baby to cry this much? But more importantly, am I normal?!

In our busy, always-on world, young mums and dads don’t have time to read reams of text – and they no longer trust murky anonymous websites where users hide their identities and trolls lurk.

Instead, they’ve grown up watching videos, making and posting their own clips online – so they expect their parenting help in the same format. Studies show young mums trust video bloggers – known as Vloggers – above any other media format. It’s like hearing from friends you can get to know and trust.
And so Channel Mum was born to bring together the very best parenting videos on the web in one easy-to-use place. We already have the UK’s biggest team of trusted parent vloggers, and it’s growing each day. So all we need now is you – come and join us!
