5 Weeks Old

You’ve made it through the first month of parenting a newborn, and hopefully you’re starting to feel a little more comfortable in your role. It’s also the 5 week mark that your baby will start to develop better sight, touch, and hearing, so it’s full of special moments.

What milestones can I expect to see in my 5 week old baby?

Although no two babies are the same, a lot of mothers notice that it’s around 5 weeks old that their baby starts to sleep a little longer, and it’s often considered a good time to start thinking about getting your baby settled into a routine, if you’ve struggled so far. It’s important to note, though, that some babies never quite get into a stable routine, so don’t put too much pressure on yourself to get them perfectly structured!
