How Big is My Baby?

At ten weeks your baby is just over an inch or so long, about the same size as a prune, and nearly weighs a quarter of an ounce. While they may still be tiny they’ve completed a critical period of development – and they are now about to begin the fetal period which is when tissues and organs rapidly grow and mature. At 10 weeks old your baby’s bones and cartilage are forming and there are tiny indents on the legs which will soon become knees and ankles.

How Will I Feel at Ten Weeks Pregnant?

You will feel very tired and you may start to notice your regular clothes beginning to feel too tight. Before pregnancy your uterus was only the size of a small pear but now it is about the size of a grapefruit – so considerably bigger! Your breasts may be feeling much more tender and growing larger too – so make sure you get fitted for a comfortable bra – preferably without underwiring.
