You may be feeling more reassured now that you’ve passed the first trimester and may well have announced your pregnancy to everyone. Suddenly things start to feel more real. You may start to have a little bump too – and you expect it to grow at quite a rate from here on in. There’s a chance you may be feeling a range of pregnancy symptoms as your baby grows, but if you’re not sure of something make sure you speak to your midwife.
Your baby is now the size of an apple and is busy growing. This week your baby’s legs are starting to grow longer than their arms and while they cannot yet open their eyes they’re now able to sense light. Your baby will be forming taste buds and will be starting to ‘breathe’ in the amniotic fluid in your womb to practice using their lungs.
