Yesterday we painted with salt, I loved this activity! The effect of the paint spreading along the salt is a good experiment for little ones. They can see how combining colours creates new ones. If you wanted to practise fine motor skills, you could use droppers/pipettes.
We used paint brushes and spoons.
It’s also worth noting that we didn’t wait for the glue & salt to dry before we added the paint. You don’t have to wait for it to dry, but be aware that if your child is heavy handed they can smoooosssshhh the mixture! Ours was purely for fun and experimenting so it didn’t matter!
I’m Abby, I’m a Mama of two children, and a RAF wife. I love family adventures and so decided to digitally scrapbook some of our time together.
