Vlog Of The Week: Grief When You Least Expect It

We’re getting really excited for Christmas now, but it’s always a time of year when we stop and reflect on the most important things in life and appreciate what we have. But that’s also means at this time of year it’s hard not to look back and miss the loved ones who are no longer with us.

This week’s Vlog Of The Week is by Helpful Mum, Grief When You Least Expect It. She talks about being struck down with grief for her grandma, out of the blue and how raw her emotions have been lately around the anniversary of her grandma’s birthday.

It’s at occasions like anniversaries or Christmas that grief, however new or old, can really become overwhelming, and partly because it’s not something we’re always comfortable discussing. Often we don’t want to burden people with grief which can feel so intense.

Helpful Mum, Sian,  has been very brave opening up about her grief and talking about a topic which we all can relate to, but seldom speak about. We’re sure many can empathise with what she’s saying, especially at this time of year.

Vlog Of The Week: Name My Baby

This week’s Vlog Of The Week is a really fun one – we’ve chosen Sarah-Jayne Lljungstrom’s ‘Name My Baby‘ vlog where reveals how she is struggling to come up with the perfect name for her third baby. There’s nothing we love more at Channel Mum Shedquarters than talking about baby names so this video has definitely been a highlight.

Sarah-Jayne has made some great videos in the past about picking baby names for her two sons but is stuck when it comes to baby number three. What’s more she doesn’t know the gender of her baby which makes it even harder!

Fancy coming up with the name of her baby? Sarah-Jayne has opened up the floor to suggestions!

Head over and have a watch and hear about the names she loves, the kind of names she is looking for and why not even make a suggestion or two? She’ll definitely thank you for it! Baby is due in only a few weeks time now!

Where’s Dolly?

Can you spot dolly?

Is there any chance of a Silent Night in your house this Christmas? We thought not!

So to give you five minutes peace before the festivities really get into full swing, here’s an early Christmas present from all of us at Team Channel Mum.

This sneaky puzzle is exactly how our toy-strewn living room floor looks like on Xmas morning – and playing is easy.

Instead of ‘Where’s Wally?’, the game is ‘Where’s Dolly?’ So take five minutes to yourself and see if you can spot her – and it’s probably the last sit down you’ll get before Christmas!

Vlog Of The Week | Why I Only Breastfeed One Twin

Each week we highlight a vlog that we feel is really worth a watch. This week’s Vlog Of The Week is by Amber from Meet The Wildes. As mum to two sets of twins, aged two and under she has her work cut out for her alongside her partner Kirsty and she opens up about how she came to the decision to only breastfeed one of her baby twin girls.

How you feed your child is a topic we could all spend a lot of time talking about and it’s amazing to hear Amber’s breast and bottle feeding story and the reasons why she only breastfeeds one of her twin girls.

Honest, confident and understanding, we love Amber’s approach to parenting, and making decisions that work for the good of the family. We’re huge advocates of fed is best, and Amber most definitely is as well.

Check out her story here – and side note – how cute (and well behaved) are her little girls during the video, sitting there patiently while Amber talks to us?

For more videos from Amber please check out her vlogger page here.
