Hi All, we are the PBM group for East Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire & Glasgow North! My name is Heather and I’m a mum, accountant, KGHypnobirthing teacher, positive birth enthusiast and supporter of women and choice! I will be joined by my co-facilitator Ashley who is a mother, ex-midwife, Doula and yoga teacher. We are passionate about ensuring women know their choices, their options, and that they understand the gentle dance of birth and how it unfolds. Education is everything and it’s what will make a world of difference to how mums ultimately feel about the births they have. We want all women to be empowered and informed, and for each and every one of you to be able to look back on the birth of your baby with love and warmth. Our meetings will be held the last Monday of every month, venue changing each month to cover our area – details will be posted on our Facebook page so please join it below, or contact me by the details provided to find out about meets or if you have any questions!

Hi  I’m Katy!

I’m a mum of three, Midwife and facilitator of my local Positive Birth Movement group in Stockport. We usually meet on the last Saturday of the month in Heaton Chapel. (Just make sure to check our Facebook page for most up to date details)

I have had three very different but very positive birth experiences with my own children. And I’m really passionate about helping families have positive experiences too, however that might look for them.

Here’s our Facebook page where we share the details for the meetings, feel free to give it a like so you see updates! :point_right:

I’m Kate, I run the Exeter group (currently running from my house in Stoke Canon). I have three children of my own and found pregnancy, birth and parenthood wonderful and challenging in equal measure. I also volunteer for Birthrights, a UK based charity promoting human rights in childbirth. I love discussing all things birth related and baking - a great combination for running a PBM group!

We’re meeting tonight - all welcome.

Come and find us on Facebook too -

Best wishes

Hi! I’m Nancy and I run the Aylesbury Positive Birth Meeting!

We meet once a month, on different days each month, to allow as many people to be able to access the group as possible. For our dates please have a peep at our social media pages:

I started our PBM because I am passionate about birthing persons knowing their choices and options about their births. I believe that by sharing information and experiences we can support each other and have births that are right for us.

Our group is fun and informal, with a mixture of parents-to-be, parents, toddlers, midwives, doulas and anyone who is interested in knowing more about birth!

Our next meeting is next week, so come along and join us. . . there will be cake

Hi, I’m Gabby Matthews and I run the Positive Birth Movement (PBM) group in Rushden, Northamptonshire. I am a Birth Practitioner and started the local group as I am passionate about birth and feel we needed to ‘build a positive village’ to support local parents and carers.

Have a look at our page on the PBM website for information on when we meet and what the monthly topic for discussion is. Here is a pic from our very first meeting in early 2018, many of the original members still come, with their crazy, busy, bustling toddlers and that is great, they have a feast of knowledge, shared experiences and support for bumps or new parents. Come and say “hi”, we’d love to see you

Hi everyone! I followed along with the Positive Birth Movement when I was expecting my daughter, Vita. I’d had two traumatic births previously and was only able to dip a toe into positive birthing because I found everything so triggering, even though I agreed strongly with its philosophies. Looking forward to joining an actual group if and when we have one final baby. Welcome to Channel Mum!

Positive Birth Movement Group Fernhurst, Midhurst & Haslemere

Hello there!

My name is Shirley Stump and I run the Positive Birth Group with Victoria Greenly in Fernhurst, Midhurst & Haslemere based on the borders of Surrey. Hampshire & West Sussex.

Between us both our lives revolve around supporting women through our work that involves being a Doula, Hypnobirth Teacher, Fertility Support, Breastfeeding support, Birth Trauma, Womens Circles etc

I also run other voluntary groups such as my local Homebirth group where I have 10 pools I lend out free or for a small donation.

And most recently a Breastfriends Meetup group where pregnant women get to sit with other women breastfeeding their babies for a really good close up and free to chat.

Victoria also runs a free weekly meet up at her house for mothers with new babies to go and relax, chat and be supported through those early challenges.
We are both very passionate about supporting women to have a positive journey through pregnancy, birth and postnatal too.

Our Positive Birth Movement group has been running a couple of years now and really grown, it’s so wonderful to meet so many women and chat together really supporting and informing each other and all the wonderful positive births that have followed. We have a good few regulars and at this months meetup two women shared film footage of their births which was incredible to see!

We meet 2nd Friday of the month either at my house, Victoria’s or our most popular venue is The Apple Tree Pub in Haslemere 10.30am - 12pm

Hi, I’m Christine and I facilitate the Positive Birth Movement in Hull.I have two children and a beautiful granddaughter of 18 months. I’m a former midwife but now work independently with pregnant mums and young families offering hypnobirthing classes, aromatherapy massage, doula support and the 3 step rewind technique (trauma resolution). I co-facilitate with Michelle who has two young children and volunteers as a breastfeeding peer supporter.

This informal and friendly group has been running for almost 4 years and we love sharing information, support and experiences that help women make informed decisions about their births. We have regulars who return and generously share their positive birth stories, making a huge difference to the birth experiences of the pregnant women attending and planning for their births.

We meet once a month at two different venues. We alternate our meetings between the second Tuesday of one month at Zoo Cafe with the second Saturday of the following month at Milk & Therapy. We hope that this gives everyone who wishes to attend the opportunity to do so.

All our meetings are posted as an event on our facebook page and on instagram. You can also contact me by email.

Hello from the Positive Birth Movement in Malta! We are a group of 4 midwives and together with many mums, dads, doulas and other attendees meet up every month in Malta.

Find us on Facebook for our event details:

We started PBM Malta because we wanted to create a space where women, their partners, family and maternity caregivers can meet up, network, share birth stories and support each other. It’s been an amazing journey so far and has given us so much positive energy to keep working and doing what we do!

Feel free to connect with us and share and suggestions or experiences.
