When Toni Feeney’s kids asked to get henna tattoos while on holiday, she never expected them to end up with chemical burns.
Henna tattoos are hugely popular amongst kids, and you will regularly see them being offered at holiday destinations, but the chemicals and dyes that are in black henna are actually extremely dangerous and often way too strong.
Mum-of-two, Toni, said:
“We let our children have them on holiday not thinking for a second it would be dangerous.”
“They now have chemical burns and are on antibiotics and antihistamines in the hope that they don’t get infection or get poorly.”
Have your children had these tattoos on holiday before?
