How Will I Feel at 39 Weeks?

Impatient! At 39 weeks pregnant you may be starting to field off phonecalls from well meaning family and friends as everyone wants to know if you’ve had any twinges or even if the baby has arrived. It can feel like pressure and of course it’s the only thing you’re thinking about – when will you get to meet your baby? Try to focus on the practical side of things – from preparing your hospital bag, to making sure you have food in the freezer to come home to. Now is a good time to set up a regular at home grocery delivery to save yourself a job when you have a newborn. It’s going to be very busy, very soon so for now relax and enjoy yourself as much as possible. When you’re not dashing for a wee!

How Big is My Baby at 39 Weeks?

Your baby is now considered full term and is getting ready to make an appearance. Time now is spent on getting bigger and stronger and you may notice Braxton Hicks or practice contractions. Make sure you keep an eye on baby’s movements and let your midwife know if you think they are starting to decrease.

You might have heard about induction methods and may be trying some home methods like walking or raspberry leaf tea.
