Autism & sensory top 10 toys and equipment

Lisa Lum

Autism and sensory children can struggle but here are 10 toys and bits of kit that I find help. From sensory toys to a special needs pushchair and my ultimate favourite, a weighted blanket! They have all helped Edith lots.

For weighted blankets I cannot recommend Emma enough

I’m Lisa Lum and this is my
little corner of odd.
I have 3 children of my own, 1 boy and 2 girls with my husband, Darren, and have been a surrogate twice.
Both TS (Traditional surrogacy) and GS (Gestational Surrogacy).
Our youngest child is special needs. She had been diagnosed with a 2P14 deletion, autism, learning difficulties, delays, sensory issues and hyper mobility. As well as my personal faves, a sleep disorder, lack of pain response and no danger awareness. Its why I look terrifying a lot of the time! Ha
