Bluestone Holiday- Week In The Life- Mum/Mom Life- Part 2- November 2017

Jessica Anne

Hi Everyone,

This is Part 2 (of 2) of our ‘Bluestone Holiday’ vlog.

We were kindly invited by Bluestone, in Wales, in the UK, to come and stay at their holiday resort to experience their Christmas festivities. So, last week we went and what a wonderful time we had.

Together with our friends we headed off to experience a mid-week package (Monday-Friday) in the Welsh countryside at Bluestone. We stayed in a ‘Dinas’ lodge, close to the central village which was perfect. The facilities within the lodge were clean and well equipped for us all. The lodge had four-bedrooms, with two bathrooms either end. Which made sharing with another family ideal. I have stayed at Bluestone a couple of times previously and stayed in their various other accommodations and this was by far my favourite. Although I would recommend the ‘Tenby Connect’ highly as well. In addition, we hired a golf buggy to take us up the hills to the activity centre and the Blue Lagoon swimming pool, when needed. I would definitely recommend this if you have little ones or don’t want to walk to far. As it gives you the freedom to transport your family to the different locations within Bluestone when you need to. However, they do have a shuttle bus that regularly went to and from the activity centre and pool.

Bluestone have an impeccable pre-registration service that allows you to select your activities, sign in and book restaurants before you go. I would highly recommend this as everything gets booked up quickly. Unless you pre-book, you may find the restaurants are full most evenings. We choose to take part in the following activities. The Mud Mystery, Sing-a-long Beauty and the Beast Panto and the Kingdom of the Elves (which you are given as a complementary extra when booking to stay at Bluestone). Additionally, we also reserved the Farmhouse Grill restaurant in the village for the Thursday night.

As well as these added extras, which you can add on to your package for a set fee, there is also a whole host of free activities on the resort. While we stayed we joined in with Christmas carols and light switch on in the village, Soft play and crazy golf and several trips to the Blue Lagoon swimming pool. We had such an amazing fun filled time.

I want to thank Bluestone for having us. It was once again a lovely, peaceful, chilled fun filled holiday to get us all in the Christmas spirit. The children have loved every second. From enjoying the spectacular ‘kingdom of the Elves’. To pantomimes, christmas carol dancing, milkshakes, play parks, swimming and ice creams galore, they had a truly magical time. Our little babies enjoyed the familiarity of our ‘home-from-home’ lodges and napped peacefully in amongst the excitement. As for us Mummies and Daddies… (somehow even after all those child related activities) we feel relaxed, chilled and grateful for the incredible holiday we’ve had…. can’t wait to come back!!!

I am really enjoying sharing my mummy experiences and professional childcare practitioner views with all of you. Being a Mummy is one of the most challenging/ rewarding experiences of my life and I have learnt so much through a lot of trial and error, that I want to share my experience with you all.
