Bowel Babe chats to SJ Strum – Channel Mum Meets

Channel Mum

Welcome to the newest edition of Channel Mum Meets … in this series we have a good old natter to some of our favourite celebrity mummies, and get a decent dose of gossip.

This time we sent the SJ Strum to visit Deborah James AKA Bowel Babe, who is a mama who journals her experiences as she battles bowel cancer. She writes a weekly collumn for The Sun and hosts a podcast to help raise awareness of Bowel Cancer, and how you don’t have to be a certain ‘type of person’ to get it. Watch the video to hear her inspiring story!

What Is Bowel Cancer?

Bowel Cancer affects the colon (large bowel) and rectum (back passage), and just like any other cancer the key to beating bowel cancer is to get diagnosed early. The early symptoms of bowel cancer are very similar to other, much less serious bowel issues, so it’s important to be aware of what is normal for you, so that you recognise any unusual changes. Read the symptoms of bowel cancer right here.

We have also chatted to Hollie McNish, and Jo from Scamp & Dude! If you would like to watch these and others, take a look on our ‘Channel Mum Meets’ page.
