Easy alcohol-free mulled wine recipe (healthy & delicious)

This alcohol-free mulled wine is not only delicious, healthy and easy to make but it is also perfect if you are pregnant or teetotal. Brimming with nutrients and health benefits, this family recipe is ideal for children too.

Alcohol-free mulled wine recipe


300g fresh cranberries
200g black cherries
4 tbsp honey
1300ml of filtered or spring water
A thumb-sized chunk of ginger
3 cinnamon sticks
3-4 star anise flowers
8 cardamom pods
16 cloves
2 oranges
1 lemon

Place cranberries and 300 ml of water in a pan over a medium heat. Bring to the boil (for 10-15 mins until cranberry skins split and bubbles form).

In the meantime, stone your cherries.

Turn off the heat. Add the cherries and honey.

Blend until smooth.

Stud the citrus fruit with the cloves, and slice.

Pour cherry sauce back into pan along with 1 litre of water, the spices and fruit.

Bring to the boil. After 25-30 minutes reduce to a simmer.

Serve warm. Add honey to taste.
