GROCERY HAUL & MEAL PLAN FOR A FAMILY OF 5 – JANUARY 2019

Charlotte Louise Taylor

Hi everyone! Today’s video is another grocery haul and meal plan for a family of five. This is all from Tesco, where I tend to shop in bulk, but I will pick bits up from anywhere, depending on how local I am! Anyway, meal plan is below. Hope it provides some family meal inspiration. Lots of love, and thank you so much, as always, for watching and subscribing! xx

MEAL PLAN

MONDAY – We had baked potatoes, with cheese and beans/tuna and salad for our tea that day – just using up leftovers before our shopping arrived.
TUESDAY – Pasta frittata – https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/pasta-recipes/gennaro-s-pasta-frittata-lots-of-ways/ – with salad.
WEDNESDAY – Satay chicken salad – I am going to cook a whole roast chicken and shred the meat and store for four meals throughout the week. Starting with this one. I will serve up with some rice to ensure we stay full! Using this recipe for inspiration, but I will tweak it! https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chicken-satay-salad
THURSDAY – Pizza wraps with salad and wedges – I just use wrap as a pizza base and the kids can decorate as they like, and we can too! I usually like combining prosciutto with asparagus and an egg cracked in the middle.
FRIDAY – Leftover spaghetti bolognese from the freezer for the kids (as Bill has jiujitsu) and then a Chinese chicken curry with rice and prawn crackers for Mark and I, based on this recipe – https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chinese-chicken-curry
SATURDAY – Shredded cheesy chicken enchiladas with salad.
SUNDAY – Chicken wrapped in prosciutto with roast potatoes and veg.
MONDAY – Mint & Feta Pasta Salad with leftover chicken and broccoli – https://www.bbc.com/food/recipes/mintedfetarocketando_67597

❤ MORE ABOUT ME ❤

Q: How old are you?
A: I am now 30 years-old! Argh!

Q: Tell us about your family?
A: I have a son called, Bill, and I am no longer with his dad, as we split mutually when he was a baby. I never imagined my life as it is now, with children to different partners, but I am so happy it is my life. I met Mark in the summer of 2013, and we became firm friends. We fell in love when I became single and we’ve never looked back. We have a daughter, called Daisy, born April 2016, and I’m due our third baby – a boy – in March 2018!

Q: What is your job?
A: I am a trained journalist and former business magazine editor, I then moved into content creation at an agency in Manchester (where I met Mark!) and since Daisy was born, I am now a full-time YouTuber. Yes, it sounds weird to me too! I work around the kids and try my best to make it work!

Q: What camera/software/lighting/music do you use to make your videos?
A: I film my videos with the Canon G7X Mark II (I love it!) and I have a Neweer Ring Light. I use iMovie to edit, PicMonkey for thumbnails, and I use Epidemic Sound, BenSound and the YouTube library for music!

Affiliate disclaimer: I sometimes receive a percentage of the revenue from purchases made through links to the items in some of my videos. But this doesn’t affect my choices when it comes to products I recommend!
