A couple of weeks ago I realised that the fog had lifted. The fog that had been following me around since that horrible night at the end of February has finally passed. It’s taken time, it’s taken learning new techniques, it’s taken picking myself up again and again. It’s taken for me to feel at my worst to be able to feel my best. I fought a hard and what felt like an endless battle with anxiety and panic and I won. Now when anxiety pops round for a visit and a cup of tea, it never stays long – it doesn’t like that it’s no longer the boss. And now, after all the incredible and overwhelming support that so many of you showed to me whilst I was going through the worst, I want to give back. I’m going to share the techniques I’ve used to lift the fog – things I’ve learnt from my CBT sessions and books I’ve read as well as things I’ve taught myself too. ❤️ “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn how to surf.”

Hi I’m Alex! I started writing a blog back in 2013 as a way to capture my thoughts, feelings and emotions as I married my childhood sweetheart and we had our first child. I’m now a Mum of two little boys (Ethan & Logan) and I’ve continued writing, photographing and videoing ever since as a way to remember all of the little details that make up this amazing journey of Motherhood.
